Why Choose Grace
Discover why Grace Haven Center is your local resource for ensuring continuity in your child's education during times of instability. By providing emergency housing services for youth aged 14-18 experiencing homelessness, family conflict, crisis, or running away, we offer a safe haven where your child can remain at their current school without disruption. Moving your child to another district in a time of crisis can be stressful and detrimental to their academic and emotional well-being. At Grace Haven Center, we understand the importance of stability and consistency in education, and we are committed to supporting your child's academic journey during challenging times. Trust us to provide a temporary home where your child can focus on their education while navigating difficult circumstances.

I'm so inspired by the good work your continuing that your Grandmother started. And adapting Grace Haven to benefit even more people, in more ways.

I was a regular supporter of Grace Haven when it was open before. For me, it's all about community.

Grace Haven will be amazing for the Jackson community. If anybody can get it up and running, Derry Petty can! He is a great man who cares about people in need, and I'm proud to call him my friend. Thank you Derry, I wish you all the best!

I was thinking about Billie the other day as I passed by Grace Haven. I knew her and she helped me a couple of times during the 90s. I am so very happy to see it reopen because it is so needed. God bless you.

A Letter from the Founder
Derry Petty
All praise and honor to the most high Jesus Christ. It all started with a tap on my right shoulder during church service in 2017 with a note saying that the grass wasn't being cut on the Grace Haven properties. I began cutting the grass thereafter and as time went by I became more involved with the non-profit.
I have learned alot about the business over the years from mentors and attending workshops but there is a saying that experience is the mother of all learning and I am ready!
Fast forward to today, there is a plan to open Grace Haven Center to serve the community of Jackson once again. The mission is to service youth and youth with families. I am very excited to begin executing the mission because I strongly believe in how it will benefit our youth in need and the community.
Currently, I am looking for passionate board members to serve on Grace Haven's board. If you are interested on serving please submit your inquiry below and I will respond within two days of submission. Also, we need your donation to help support our mission and programming. All donations are tax deductible.
Have a blessed day.
